Yuri Karpenko

Karpenko Business Services is owned by Yuri Karpenko, a former Chinese Border Guard Soviet Officer. Mr. Karpenko is trilingual; fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese. Born in the Ukraine, he graduated from the Moscow Military Instutute and served at Blagoveschensk and Khabarovsk (both in the Russian Far East).

Mr. Karpenko has traveled to the United States several times and is well versed in U.S. business practices. As the International Trade Manager for one of Khabarovsk's largest trading enterprises, he is skilled in Russian business and importing / exporting documentation. Mr. Karpenko has often been hired as an interpreter for the American Business Centre in Khabarovsk, Russia.

Mr. Karpenko was an invited speaker by the Foreign Agriculture Service of the USDA to present at the Second Annual Food Marketing and Transportation Conference in Portland, Oregon in October 1997. He has often been hired as interpreter and logistics consultant by the Oregon Department of Agriculture.
